Forgotten about

It is very rare you see a run-down temple such as this in Japan. In fact this is the only one I have ever seen

Maybe the people around don't have enough money to take care of it OR there's a new temple somewhere else! I've seen some such things myself and never got an explanation, though I asked for one. At times they can get a spooky atmosphere and you are advised not to step on the grounds.This one in your shot looks a bit ominous with the stormy sky and the unnatural ray of sunlight.

I like the composition, color and contrast. Power lines are a bit of an intrusion.

Believe it or not, it is actually difficult to get a photo in Japan where there AREN'T powerlines. Because of the ever present threat of earthquakes, all powerline are built above ground, with no seeming plan to them!!
